Auchan around the world

Russia

Russie
In Russia, after first developing its presence in Moscow, in 2006 Auchan opened its first hypermarkets in other parts of the country: in Nijni Novgorod, Ekaterinburg and Saint Petersburg.
The chain has adopted a strong discount positioning: the product assortments include a majority of local budget products, including a low-cost range, produced in partnership with local SMEs. They also include a wide selection of fresh products.
In 2008, 12 Ramstore acquired from Enka have adopted the Auchan City banner; the smallest format which offers a product range specially selected for its local convenience market. In 2009, Auchan Russia also created an even more discount format, Radouga, adapted to medium-sized towns.

The Group is also present through its discount supermarket chain, Atak. This chain gives priority to an offering based on essential products.

Banque Accord, initiated its activity in the country via its subsidiary BA Finans. It provides lending products in Auchan hypermarkets and has launched its own Visa card.

Immochan manages some 650 shops in Auchan hypermarket shopping centres.
