The Auchan Group is present in Romania since 2006. The first Auchan hypermarket opened in 2006 in the Titan district, east of Bucharest.
At the beginning of 2009, the Group acquired 100% of the capital of MGV-Distri Hiper, the holding company for the Auchan hypermarkets.
