Auchan around the world

France

Entr??e hyperGroupe Auchan is present in France through its 4 businesses: Auchan hypermarkets, Simply Market supermarkets, Immochan and Banque Accord.

Hypermarkets and supermarkets together account for over 400 fully-consolidated outlets.
The chains are pursuing a strong discount policy: reduction of sales prices, creation of "self discount" sections in hypermarkets, revision of product assortments, strengthening of budget product ranges (including “Pouce” products), testing of discount chains... The new discount supermarket chain Simply Market caters for all budgets, with permanently low prices, "special offers" (a deeply- discounted product offer every fortnight)...
The hypermarkets also offer a selection of 12,000 Auchan own-brand products, 1,400 of which have Braille labelling.

Banque Accord has 3.3 million customers in France, proposing financial, savings and insurance products, private and international payment cards with the lowest costs (Visa and Mastercard), and services (travel, magazines, telephony, ...). The Group’s banking subsidiary works with around thirty chains. It also handles loans and Oney cards.

Immochan is partner to 3,600 retailers in France.
The real-estate subsidiary rents more than 550,000 m² of shop space in shopping centres. It has developed a new visual identity that accompanies customers throughout their visit.

France, which represented 47% of the Group’s revenue in 2009 through its various businesses, is also a test bed for numerous sales experiments being conducted by the company.
