In 2008, the Auchan Group signed an agreement with Dubai World to create a joint-venture called Hypercorp LLC.  
The Groupe has taken a stake in this company. 
First Auchan hypermarket opened in 2009, in Dragon Mart shopping centre. It has a sales area of 6,500 sqm.
